The Beast Takes Another

Andre from On Multiple Myeloma... died yesterday. He had an infection in his lungs that was treated surgically. He was unable to recover.

I have enjoyed reading Andre and Ed's story. Andre chose to fight for life agressively, by choosing an allo transplant.

I have been reading blogs for five years and following the ACOR list for ten. Too many deaths...

Oh just too many! and now dear Andre. He was still really young and such an inspiration to others.
Another sad day.

Theresa, I took the liberty of using the word 'beast' from you as I followed your saga, and used it im my blog since it so aptly describes this dreadful entity that rips apart lives and hopes. It is disturbing that it is grabbing younger and younger people. A sad, sad day with this news.

So true. His sense of humor, feistiness and love for Ed was so evident in his blog. I'll bet all of that was larger than life for those who knew him personally. It's devastating for all of us MM families to think of the "what ifs" and these losses remind us that there but for the grace of God go we but for how long.
